This is the only shark tour in the USA and to our knowledge the only tour where guests do not get in the water to view the sharks. Delight in close-up views of sharks and a variety of other marine life. In this eco-friendly catamaran, travel through shallow waters to a location a few miles from shore, observing dolphins, stingrays, barracudas and native birds along the way. What To Expect

Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours

After check-in, the Tiger Cat will cruise through Key West harbor on the way to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests will see numerous sharks and a variety of wildlife including dolphin.

Key West

Travel through shallow water close to mangrove islands as you make your way about 4 miles (6.4 km) away from shore to the shark viewing site. Along the way, keep your eyes open for dolphin, sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tarpon and an array of native birds. Listen to your experienced pilot discuss the delicate ecosystem of this area and its abundance of wildlife. Enjoy complimentary water, soda, juice — as well as the use of polarized sunglasses — during your trip. When you arrive at the shark destination, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Your pilot will use bait to draw a host of sharks that swim right up to the boat so you and your family can observe them in safety and comfort. See numerous lemon and nurse sharks, and watch out for bull, black tip and hammerhead sharks during nearly one hour of shark viewing. Capture dramatic photos you can't wait to share with family and friends.

I spent a great deal of time searching for the right boat tour that is both unique (shark sighting without having to be in a cage or go into the water!), fun and safe (for all ages). It was my wedding weekend in Key West for our destination wedding. I didn't realize how challenging it was to find a covered, private tour within my price range. I'm so glad I was able to find Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours. Captain Dave and Captain Clay were very professional. They were already waiting for me when my party of 22 arrived. Signing in was easy and we were quickly led onto their boat. It was very clean and safe boat. Both Captain Dave and Captain Clay shared a lot of their knowledge of the majestic ocean. When I first me them, I immidately knew they were very passionate about their trade. There was loads of water and soft drinks so no one went thirsty on the 2 hour tour. They were kind enough to extend the tour a little longer so we could enjoy the open waters. We were able to see sharks, dolphins, and other marine life. Everyone on the boat loved the tour. Even my hard-to-please dad! I would most certainly go on this tour again and recommend it to everyone (children, adults, grandparents)!

I really didn't know what to expect, but found this shark tour to be thoroughly interesting and enjoyable. Captain Dave and Captain Clay are very knowledgeable and experienced guides. They gave our group plenty of time to see the sharks and dolphins up close. I highly recommend taking this tour.

In the blazing heat of the keys it was a rather glorious and informative ride out to sea from Captain Clay and Captain Dave explaining all kinds of new information that I didn't know about. They made the entire adventure a real adventure pointing various information and details about the marine life in the area. Feeding time for the lemon sharks was about my favorite. Always had interest in sharks and learned a few things I didn't know about. Following the sharks was dolphins which there weren't many around but we still saw some. To top of the fun splash excursion was that in the humid heat.... they thought about the people on the boat too. Lots of refreshments to cool down :) If i have another chance to go out there I'd definitely ask for their services again to see more sharks!
