This is the only shark tour in the USA and to our knowledge the only tour where guests do not get in the water to view the sharks. Delight in close-up views of sharks and a variety of other marine life. In this eco-friendly catamaran, travel through shallow waters to a location a few miles from shore, observing dolphins, stingrays, barracudas and native birds along the way. Bait is used to attract lemon, nurse and other types of sharks to the side of the boat. What To Expect

Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours

After check-in, the Tiger Cat will cruise through Key West harbor on the way to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests will see numerous sharks and a variety of wildlife including dolphin.

Key West

Travel through shallow water close to mangrove islands as you make your way about 4 miles (6.4 km) away from shore to the shark viewing site. Along the way, keep your eyes open for dolphin, sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tarpon and an array of native birds. Listen to your experienced pilot discuss the delicate ecosystem of this area and its abundance of wildlife. Enjoy complimentary water, soda, juice — as well as the use of polarized sunglasses — during your trip. When you arrive at the shark destination, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Your pilot will use bait to draw a host of sharks that swim right up to the boat so you and your family can observe them in safety and comfort. See numerous lemon and nurse sharks, and watch out for bull, black tip and hammerhead sharks during nearly one hour of shark viewing. Capture dramatic photos you can't wait to share with family and friends.

We had an amazing time! We got to see lots of sharks and dolphins on a beautiful day. We had a group of mixed ages from 11 to 73 years and it was great for everyone! Learned so much about sharks and dolphins from very knowledgeable guides. 10/10 would recommend!

Unfortunately, I had to give this tour company one star. I booked a tour months ago as my children were looking forward to seeing the sharks. A few weeks before I book the tour I get a text message that the time is changed from 1 PM to 10 AM. I wasn’t happy about the time change, but my kids really wanted to do it so I agreed even though they don’t love getting up early. We finally get to Keywest for our First family vacation here and then the day before the tour I received a text and was told that something went wrong with the boat and they would have to cancel our tour. To make matters worse they made the comment that they would reschedule us for some other point during the week but they were booked the rest of the week so they couldn’t reschedule us. my thinking is if I scheduled this tour of months ago why couldn’t they cancel someone else that had just booked after we did. This tour company is unreliable, and for that reason I would not recommend.

It disappoints me to hear of the details that you outlined forced me to cancel the tour thus affecting your family vacation. Truly I wish there was more I could have done about the rescheduling and our boat breaking down. To be detailed you did not mention the reason I rescheduled you to 10am. It was that at 1pm the waters are too warm currently to witness the sharks, they don't tolerate those extremely warm waters. I only aimed to provide a good experience by rescheduling the time. Regarding the mechanical issue we encountered despite our own efforts to personally repair the boat we had to rely on a mechanic whos’ schedule prohibited us from operating sooner than hoped. Clearly this was multiple misfortunes however the idea of canceling someone else for you to take their place would not be appropriate for others. Sometimes misfortune occurs as it did for both of us! With that said I hope you still had a good family vacation in Key West. Know that our small family business will continue to do the right thing for our customers by continuing to reliably take out over 330 tours a year to provide a memorable shark and wildlife experience. Great experience, loved that it is a family owned and operated business. Both Father and Son were super welcoming, very knowledgeable, humorous and had great stories to share. The highlight was seeing lots of lemon sharks and dolphins but just being out on the ocean was a wonderful experience in itself. Plan to get there early to avoid parking stress as it is a busy area and use any extra time to wander the wharf as it boasts little shops and a great cafe.
