This is the only shark tour in the USA and to our knowledge the only tour where guests do not get in the water to view the sharks. Delight in close-up views of sharks and a variety of other marine life. In this eco-friendly catamaran, travel through shallow waters to a location a few miles from shore, observing dolphins, stingrays, barracudas and native birds along the way. Bait is used to attract lemon, nurse and other types of sharks to the side of the boat. What To Expect

Key West Extreme Adventures Shark Tours

After check-in, the Tiger Cat will cruise through Key West harbor on the way to the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. Here guests will see numerous sharks and a variety of wildlife including dolphin.

Key West

Travel through shallow water close to mangrove islands as you make your way about 4 miles (6.4 km) away from shore to the shark viewing site. Along the way, keep your eyes open for dolphin, sea turtles, stingrays, barracudas, tarpon and an array of native birds. Listen to your experienced pilot discuss the delicate ecosystem of this area and its abundance of wildlife. Enjoy complimentary water, soda, juice — as well as the use of polarized sunglasses — during your trip. When you arrive at the shark destination, get ready for an unforgettable experience! Your pilot will use bait to draw a host of sharks that swim right up to the boat so you and your family can observe them in safety and comfort. See numerous lemon and nurse sharks, and watch out for bull, black tip and hammerhead sharks during nearly one hour of shark viewing. Capture dramatic photos you can't wait to share with family and friends.

We went on the Shark and Eco Tour last week during our trip to Key West and it was so much fun! My kids (ages 10 and 12) said it was the best part of our entire week. Seeing dolphins and the sharks in their natural habitat was truly an amazing experience. The captain was knowledgeable and told us all about the animals we were seeing and the area in general. We loved that snacks and drinks were provided and the boat was awesome. I tend to suffer from seasickness but didn’t experience anything on this trip. I would definitely do this tour again if I could.

We did a bunch of tours and this was the best! Both captains were super nice and knowledgeable! They had free drinks AND chips. They made sure everyone got a great view and even let me throw a little fish tail to the sharks! We saw dolphins too, they were shy but still close enough! Super funny and professional guys. Highly recommend!

This Shark Tour was amazing! My husband,13 yr old son, 4 yr old daughter and myself went on the 10am tour at the end of July. I have to say this tour was exciting, interesting and the captains Clay and Ken (father & son duo) are really knowledgeable, passionate and informative about sharks and marine life in general. We did not want to leave Key West without doing this tour and we are glad we did it. The tour was about 2 hours and we even got to see some dolphins! It's amazing to see marine life in action in their natural habitat as opposed to an aquarium or zoo. Sharks are amazing animals and this tour did not disappoint. There were snacks and drinks provided and the captains made everyone feel comfortable and made sure everyone had a chance to see the action and take pictures of the sharks. Highly recommend this tour if you are in Key West; totally worth the money! Thanks!
