We offer the Ultimate Adventure - Our Glass Bottom Kayak LED illuminated Night Tours! In fact no one else offers this experience anywhere in the world with our custom light system & kayaks and how we've trained the fish to follow us! Become a Fish Whisperer for a magical night under the stars! At our St. Pete Beach location we'll first visit a mangrove bird island & learn about several types of seabirds! Afterwards we'll paddle down protected waterways & see amazing underwater views along with feeding fish which is fun for everyone! The fish will follow our kayaks and get so close you can even touch them! You may also see crabs, shrimp & other sea-life as we illuminate the waters around us. With literally nothing to do at night in Water Sports, our Glass Bottom Kayak LED illuminated Night Tours are perfect for families, friends, large groups, or an unforgettable date night under the stars! These are dry kayaks so you can wear full clothing with shoes and even stay warm in the winter!

What To Expect

Spa Oceana at The Don CeSar

We'll start by paddling through protected waterways in St. Pete Beach first stopping at a mangrove island that's home to hundreds of birds including Pelicans, Cranes, Egrets, and Double Crested Cormorants.

Hubby and I had the most amazing time taking our kids,(23 & 32), and 2 year old grandbaby on the evening LED glass-bottom kayak tour. The evening tour starts before sundown, so you get some light and dark time. There are a lot of wonderful things that can be said about how cool it was to navigate the glass-bottom kayaks, the amazing sights we got to see, etc, etc. But as all of us know, often it is not just the activity itself that makes an event memorable, but the way someone made us feel. If I could give Dave Metcalf and his staff 10 stars, I would! When I called to ask about the tour, I was kind of stressed trying to find something that would be a fun new adventure for all of us. Dave answered the phone, answered all my questions, and told me a little bit about himself without making me feel rushed or pressured at all. We are vegan, and Dave said he could probably schedule us with Joanne, (Jo), a vegan guide, who could give us tips on vegan places to try! I scheduled our tour and , but on the day we were supposed to go, our grandbaby woke up sick, so when Dave called to confirm, I wasn't sure we were all going to be able to go. Again, Dave was really kind and said he would work with us. Luckily, by the time of the tour, all was right with the world and we were able to go. When we got there, we were warmly greeted, and they took time to make sure everyone felt comfortable before starting out. And Dave did get us scheduled with Joanne, who is absolutely adorable, very knowledgeable about the area sealife,and who gave us great tips on local vegan fare! You need to experience the tour for yourself, (and it was AWESOME), but since we can all relate to a situation where customer service made an event either horrible, or very special, I want to say that Sharkey's made this a very, very special experience for our family! Oh, and Dave took these super cool pics of our family from a bridge. If you see a little creature who looks like a cereal box, its my grandbaby in his lifejacket, lol. Thanks for everything Dave! We will definitely be back!!

My brother and I decided to check out Sharkey’s Glass Bottom Tours after coming across their business while searching for kayak rentals. I am so glad we did! From booking to cost to the actual tour itself, everything was 5 star. Dave was helpful on the phone and answered all questions I had. He provided directions both in a text and over the phone. The booking procedure was simple. The cost was reasonable. Mike and Dave helped us at the location, making sure our life vests were properly used, our headlamps working and even gave us a bottle of water to take along. Bob was our tour guide and he suggested areas to kayak near for better views of fish. He constantly checked on our group to be sure everyone was not only comfortable but also enjoying themselves. He even stopped to change the lights on the back of our kayak when one went out, even though we were almost at the end of the tour. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a kayaking adventure and will definitely use them again if I return to the St. Petersburg area.
