Running every Thursday this shore excursion will live long in the memory, combing a stunning cruise down the Wailua river followed by one of Hawaii's most celebrated Luau experiences. The Wailua River, is a beautiful meandering river that starting at the famous Wai'ale'ale is the only navigable river in Hawaii. This tour really does offer a unique Hawaiian experience with one of the highlights being the Fern Grotto, a lava rock grotto covered with tropical ferns. True Hawaiian musicians will serenade you at the grotto with traditional, local songs including the famous "Hawaiian Wedding Song." The superior acoustics within this natural amphitheater greatly enhance the music. This part of the tour normally last for around 1 hour and 20 minutes on a long, flat-bottom riverboat. During the tour you will come across kayakers, motorboats and water skiers. There are some great photo's to be had throughout the tour, an opportunity of seeing the Opaekaa Falls -- another romantic stop that will surely secure your love of this Garden Island. Following your day tour, you will be transported to a location for a memorable Luau experience, featuring the best of traditional Hawaiian dishes and local favorites, as well as entertainment highlighting Polynesian culture. The Luau honors the traditions of Polynesia, and includes a delicious dinner with a wide variety of local delicacies, desserts, and cocktails. Following the feast, guests are treated to the lyrical sway of the Hawaiian Hula and the fiery emotion of the Samoan fire knife dance. Experience Polynesia through song and dance of different cultures and embrace the "spirit of aloha." Afterwards, you will be driven back to the pier.
