The Instructor was great very knowledgeable. Small group made for a hands on experience. Mojito and pizza was delicious. Lots of fun. Would recommend to everyone. Enjoyed the evening of dancing.

Basically from 7:30 to 8 there is no dancing they want you to buy drinks or order off the menu while they wait for people to show up. From 8 to about 8:20 everyone continued to sit around and wait because a large group had not shown up yet. So actual dancing was 8:25 to 9:56. Hour and half total with a good Mojito free in between with typical dance from 8-10. I think it’s bs to hold up the rest of the group for late customers and take away from the experience so don’t show up late and piss people off or start it on time. I would do it again it’s a fun thing to do in Miami and your in the club afterward without paying the cover charge to watch all the acts or dancing on the bar. What was bazaar is they throw a .25cent charge on all bills without asking and the line item just says something like (local hospital). First time I’ve seen any nonsense like that. Does your quarter go to the hospital? I would like to think so because that number would really add up at the end of the night and like to think it’s not just going to make an establishment more money

Thank you Lorna for coming to the Salsa night! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the Salsa & Bachata Lessons, Mojito and Nightclub entrance with the live performances. This is what is included in the experience. We used to only offer lessons from 8-10pm without a private table, without a mojito... but most guests were coming from the beach or touring all day and they needed to have dinner first and relax in order to arrive on time and be ready for a night out of dancing. As our Salsa experience takes place inside a venue that is a full service restaurant; we have added a few things to our experience to accommodate everyone's needs to eat and drink and be comfortable with full service. All guests have their own table when they arrive and we open the room an hour early for guests to have time to eat, drink or set up celebrations before the lessons begin. This is the time for people to settle in and have a home base to keep your things and make it comfortable for your group or date night throughout the entire night with no minimum of purchasing any extra food or drinks other than what is already provided in the experience. A lot of people come even earlier at 7pm just to have dinner before the lessons begin :) The restaurant is completely separate from our experience and we do not push food or drinks, we do not sell or receive commission. Saturdays are our busiest nights and it is possible that we start 15 later but most of the time we begin at 8pm sharp :) A little history about the venue since most of your review pertains to the venue and the service provided... The building where the club is now, 30 years ago, was once an "end of life" medical facility. The owner was out swimming along Ocean Drive one day and had the thought of... celebrating life and changed his entire business to the tropical happy club you see today. The hospital fee is a remnant of those times and does go to a local hospital. We believe that you can have the .25 cents removed from your restaurant bill if you request, but that is not part of what you paid for with the experience and is something to request with the restaurant. They do not profit from it. We appreciate your review as it gives us the opportunity to improve as well as to clarify any misconceptions. Cheers!

My boyfriend and I had so much fun at the Salsa dance class. You learn the basics of Salsa and Bachata. The complimentary pizza was good, but you don’t get a lot. I would eat a small meal before the class. Also, the complimentary Mojito was amazing! So delicious. They take group pictures during the event as well. I will note that this class is meant for beginners. I am a dancer, so the moves were very simple to me, but it was overall a great experience! After the class was over, we stayed at the club and danced all night to live music!
