The “Sitka Wildlife Tours” was an excellent choice for us. Yvonne, our guide, was excellent. She provided great commentary as we visited the Sitka National Park where she explained the design and importance of each of the National Historical Park. Admire the historical and cultural treasures of the Tlingit totem poles. It was a treat to watch the salmon spawn upriver. Yvonne shared her knowledge of Sitka’s role in World War II, the importance of fishing to Sitka, and the boarding school offered to students from the remotest areas. We took the scenic route along Silver Bay where we eventually reached the Fortress of the Bear complex. This is where orphaned bears live in a natural setting. Highly recommend Sitka Wild Life Tours when you are in Sitka.

Visiting Fortress of the Bears was a wonderful experience. I'm so happy my friend suggested going. It was delightful and I also enjoyed the gift shop as well. Our tour guide Liz was informative and gave lots of information on Alaska. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Our guide was wonderful! We were able to see the Fortress of the Bears, where a wild bear had been there just before we came. The most exciting part to me was the Salmon Creek. Tens of thousands of salmon headed up the creek. It was spectacular! They're also was a gorgeous fjord and our guide took pictures of everybody there. It was a great time, beautiful views, and a very knowledgeable guide. We would do it again.
