We had a blast!! Sunny was out boat captain, he was friendly, professional and a fountain of information!! Our boat, The Orca, held six passengers in a covered cabin but we could move aft during the trip. Weather can be variable during the trip but we lucked out and had plenty of sun. We were able to see several eagle's nests, one was huge!! We also saw several pairs of eagles as well as several single eagles. We saw a bout marker with a about five harbor seals up close and personal!! We ventured out further and saw numerous Humpback whales!! Lastly we visited sea weed areas with numerous sea otters!! because the boat is small we were able to get closer to rock formations were the otters were located. Overall we got more bang for our buck!! we highly recommend Sunny and Sitka Wildlife tours to anyone visiting the area.

This was a great trip. Taking a small boat with a very knowledgeable guide is the way to go. We saw lots and lots of whales along with eagles and otters. The whale show was spectacular. We watched one whale breach a half dozen times then give us a fin wave. All in all a fantastic trip. I would highly recommend this tour group.

On a tight time frame because of our brief cruise stop in Sitka, boat captain Sonny Cropley nonetheless made the most of our time showing us humpback whales, including one that breached near the boat, a family of sea otters, bald eagles and their nests, sea lions and the islands and beautiful sights of Sitka Sound. He could not have been nicer or more accommodating. With our week in Alaska, he made this day hands down our favorite. The boat, too, was the newest and best we encountered in all our days of shore excursions. Thank you from two very happy visitors from San Diego!
