Dress in layers and wear comfortable shoes as the weather in Sitka is always different. The boat is heated for your comfort, but you will want to get out and enjoy the fresh air.

Please note: Wildlife sightings are very likely but are not guaranteed
Guests must be able to step on/off boat and depending on the tide, navigate a steep wooden gangway that leads to the dock. The boat is not wheelchair accessible. Due to seat availability, as well as guest safety and comfort, passengers weighing 250 pounds (113 kilograms or 18 stone) will have to purchase an additional seat to reserve adequate space onboard the ship
Please take the free down town shuttles to meet us for your tour! We will be at the drop off point with yellow trimmed signs and blue jackets.

We were in Sitka on a cruise. The 4 of us did this whale watching trip with I believe Sonny as our boat captain. He started out by showing us some huge bald eagle nests. A young bald eagle even peeked out of the nest as if on cue. Then it was off to find whales. We tried several spots and were thinking perhaps this would just be a great day on the water without whales. We then hit the jackpot and saw probably 20 whales. We were shouting 3 oclock; wait 8 oclock to alert others where we saw spouts. It was the highlight of a cruise. Take this excursion. You will love it.

Sonny was wonderful! We saw lots and lots of whales, eagles and their nests. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!

We saw so many whales! Our boat driver, Sunny was FANTASTIC!! He helped make our day exciting. He was very personable. He also knew where the Eagle’s nests were and sea lions hang out.
