Six The Musical on Broadway Ticket

Overview
Even if you think you know their stories, these women are here to set the record straight.

King Henry VIII had six wives that are easily remembered in a simple, popular rhyme: divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. But Six, the new musical coming to Broadway is showing that these Tudor queens were so much more than that.

The story of Henry the 8th's 6 wives. A combination of Rap & Hip Hop telling the story each wife. 80minutes without an intermission. Fast paced and energetic. The actors had great voices and super choreography.

The play was terrible. The premise was silly. The story was shallow. The music was too loud. It was one continuous rap song with variations. On a positive note the choreography was very good and the play was short.

As someone interested in Tudor history, I had to see this musical. It was highly recommended in related social media forums. As a person who loves musical theater, this ain’t it. I will give credit to the fact that I was amazed and delighted that there was a decent song about Hans Holbein the Younger, but this production is not good overall. It is a really short and uneven work. The premise was solid, but the execution was not. I paid how much for an hour and fifteen minute show with no set design? I wanted to love it, but it fell very short of my not high expectations. I wish I’d gone to see Beetlejuice instead, and I’ve read those reviews as well.
