My husband and I rented electric bikes for the day during a cruise stop in Skagway. We did the self-guided e-bike tour to Dyea. The owners were very personable, knowledgeable, and kind. After a quick map and bike instruction we were on our way, covering about 20 miles on the e-bikes. The e-bikes themselves were of excellent quality and ran perfectly. The added throttle made going up hills and increasing speed a breeze. We had a great ride, stopping at the gold rush cemetery and falls, the skagway river bridge, the town of dyea and dyea dirt road, nakhu bay, the tayia river bridge, and lastly lunch at the chilkoot trail outpost. It was a very relaxing day with beautiful scenery and a fun and effortless bike ride. Perfect for those who want to get away from other cruise ship passengers and large tour groups. I highly recommend renting e-bikes from Klondike bikes in Skagaway!! It was one of our favorite excursions in Alaska!
