I had the very good luck and pleasure to book a tour of Skagway with Klondike Electric Bicycles. I arrived on a cruise, but this was not a tour arranged through the ship but found them on the internet. The bikes are fantastic and very easy to ride if you can ride a bike. I am nearly 70 years old and had no problems! The owner/guide was very knowledgeable about Skagway past and present and very enthusiastic about sharing what he knows. I recommend this tour very highly for anyone interested in gliding through town, enjoying the sights and learning about what you are seeing - and even panning for gold!

My partner and I borrowed two e-bikes on a very rainy/windy day while our cruise was stopped in Skagway, and completed a round trip of roughly 20 miles winding around the estuary. It was a gorgeous trip made solely possible by these awesome e-bikes. Nicole and George did a great job explaining our route and how to work the motors to our best advantage, and it was a godsend that halfway through our trip, we were able to stop at Cathy's outpost to warm our wet, freezing selves with tea, chili, and delicious Alaskan fish. I highly recommend these bikes, the self-guided tour, and taking full advantage of the excellent service Klondike has to offer. A few things I wish I would have prepared for in retrospect: 1. Be prepared for the physical strain of biking so far - it's made so much easier with these bikes but it is still a significant workout 2. Riding race first into cold rain was not fun, I regret not bringing rain pants or a rain parka 3. I wish I had researched more about Klondike National Park before I had gone so I was prepared with the knowledge of layout, etc. As it was, however, the view was gorgeous. I am definitely planning to visit again one day.

You can not go wrong with this Tour. You will see all the sights and scenery but with the luxury of electric bikes. Peddle if you want but I went full electric and it was great. George owner and tour guide really knows the history and lay of the land. He has done his homework and it was much appreciated. I highly recommend this tour for everyone.
