Excellent look into the life of a person training for the Iditarod. So informative. Puppies were beautiful and all the dogs are cared for very well. I’d go back for another visit.

My 79-year young mother and I took this excursion because we are both fascinated by the dogs of the Iditirod race. With this trip, not only do you get to interact with the dogs, you get so much more. Our tour guide, Bryan Terrell, was fabulous!! Get him to tell you his story about completing the Appalachian Trail - not once, but twice. In addition to being a fabulous story teller, Bryan was a volunteer photographer and went out of his way to help us see the most amazing scenery! I really wanted to see the goats out on the mountain and somehow, Bryan was able to spot them for us for me to get a picture! My sister and her husband chose one of the train excursions, and I was concerned we might not get to see as much. Bryan made sure that not only did we see as much, we actually got to see things (including the lone Christmas tree island) that the train tour couldn't see. This was a fabulous way to spend the day, especially with someone with some mobility issues, and still see the splendor AK has to offer. I highly recommend it!

The tour itself was excellent if you are looking to see the country side as you make your way to the sled dog adventure. You have several stops along the way and the views do not disappoint. The sled dog adventure was great as well. It was a lot of fun to interact with the dogs and learn about their training program. Bryan Terrell (our tour guide) did a great job. We found him to be very engaging and knowledgeable. The only problem was he consistently jumped into our selfies (just kidding). He was actually very helpful with taking pictures for the group. He defiantly knew how to get the best pictures!
