My wife and I met Jeff for a tour that lasted about 2.5 hours one morning and we really, really enjoyed the time. He guided us through several different areas of the museum, giving us perspective that you would expect on any tour, but also adding personal color to different areas we visited based on his world travels. It was an awesome experience for my wife, who was visiting the Met for the first time, but also for me: Jeff made a quick adjustment to our tour so I could see a bunch of Cezannes after I mentioned an article on theories about genius written by Malcolm Gladwell. (A subtle, personal touch that enhanced my experience.) In short, this was well worth it. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Jeff was an excellent guide remaining unflappable despite the extreme crowd at the Met. He added interesting anecdotes and tried to engage everyone in the tour. We arrived late and the lines to go through security were insane, he kindly met us at a side door with tickets in hand. A great way to see the highlights of the Met. Only minor complaint is that I wish Babylon had warned us to arrive early due to security lines, though I know that can be hard to predict. Overall worth it, you could wander forever without finding the things Jeff showed us.
