-The awe-inspiring 500,000-gallon panoramic Coral Reef Gallery is home to impressive sharks, giant stingrays, endangered sea turtles, toothy barracudas, and various fish species.

Admission ticket sales help educate visiting students, provide world-class care to animal ambassadors, rehabilitate rescued sea turtles, and advance scientific research to save the Florida coral reef tract. As a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for maintaining high standards in animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation and education among other requirements.

The Florida Aquarium is located in the heart of Downtown Tampa in the Channel District. There are several parking options within walking distance to the Aquarium. Please visit FLaquarium.org to review additional parking options.

Jump into SeaTREK, a guided underwater walking tour for non-divers ages 10+, and set sail in Tampa Bay on the Wild Dolphin Cruise.* The Aquarium is in downtown Tampa on the free streetcar route and between 2 cruise ship terminals. Plus, easily access the Riverwalk, historic Ybor City, Sparkman Wharf, restaurants, and more! The Florida Aquarium is a non-profit organization committed to saving marine wildlife. Admission supports animal care, education initiatives, animal rescue, & the advancement of coral restoration efforts.

We had some time to kill between checking out of our Airbnb & our flight so we decided to check out the aquarium. It took us about 2 hours to walk through the aquarium which included a couple times when we just sat & looked at the fish in the larger aquariums. We enjoyed the aquarium but was disappointed in the African Penguin area. It was really a small exhibit & felt bad for the penguins.

Bought the tickets online. Skip bringing bags so you have less to carry if you can. This place was huge and there was so much to see and interact with. Very cool for kids and adults. Bring a swimsuit and towel for the kids as they have a splash pad outside for them to play in and it was shaded. I could easily spend a couple hours here.

Didn't have to wait in line and able to start the exploration of this Amazing Aquarium. It was our first time there and it definitely did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations of an aquarium. We definitely will visit again.
