Aquarium of the Pacific

When you arrive at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, about 25 miles (40 km) south of Los Angeles, go straight to the gate with your general admission ticket. Pick up your guide book, and start exploring! Your general admission gives you access to all of the aquarium’s galleries and exhibits, which focus on the creatures and environment of the Pacific Ocean. Discover sunny Southern California and Baja, the frigid waters of the Northern Pacific, and the colorful reefs of the Tropical Pacific. Come face-to-face with the ocean’s ultimate predators in Shark Lagoon, hand-feed colorful lorikeet birds, and watch our Magellanic Penguins play.

Spent three hours walking the display tanks, visiting touch tanks of rays, sharks, jellies and horseshoe crabs. The caretakers are friendly and super knowledgeable. Great displays of different ecosystems as well as conservation and interactive learning. If we lived closer I'd be a regular visitor

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Aquarium of the Pacific! There's so much to see and do at this aquarium. Their merchandise is also reasonably priced. The location is also by the Shoreline Village so you can check that out after you're done with the aquarium. I would love to come back here again next time we're in CA!

What a wonderful place to go, it has everything from seals, seal lions and otters playing to incredible jellyfish. The sharks, rays and other fish were also brilliant. You can touch the rays...there is an Aviary also, lots of educational formation, in media forms for the kids. FABULOUS
