What To Expect

Boulder City

Start your tour with pick-up from select hotels on Las Vegas Blvd. Heading east, you'll arrive at historic Boulder City, a town built originally to house the workers of the Hoover Dam. This is where it all started! Discover the history of this quaint little town on the outskirts of Las Vegas!

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

we will stop by Lake Mead Lookout for an amazing panoramic view of Lake Mead and learn about the history of the lake and its present troubles and other interesting facts.

Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

Next you will pass through the Hoover Dam security checkpoint and you will be officially at the Hoover Dam. We will stop at the Hoover Dam bypass Bridge (Mike O’Callagham - Pat Tillmam Bridge) where you have the opportunity to walk up to the bridge, almost a 1000ft above the Dam. Here, you will also be able to cross state lines from Nevada to Arizona, you'll enjoy an incredible view of the Dam and Colorado River. Your tour guide will tell you interesting facts and how the the Hoover Dam was constructed. This is a view not to be missed!

Hoover Dam

Take a scenic drive across the Hoover Dam to the Arizona side, where you'll have 25-30 minutes to stroll along the top of this monumental structure. As you walk, you'll truly appreciate the dam's immense scale and capture some fantastic photo opportunities.

Seven Magic Mountains

Upgrade your Hoover Dam tour to include a stop at the Ugo Rondinone art installation in the middle of the Mojave Desert. These colorful stacked rocks make for the most instagrammable moments in Las Vegas! This upgrade adds approximately I hour to your tour duration.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the 3-Hour Hoover Dam Mini Tour with Mr. Las Vegas Tours! Everything was top-notch, from the comfortable transportation to the informative and entertaining guide. Our guide was the highlight of the trip! His passion for the dam was evident, and Bob shared so many interesting facts and stories. We learned so much more than I expected. He also was good enough to take our pictures at many of the sights. The views of the dam were breathtaking, and the tour provided a great overview of its history and engineering. It was a highlight of our trip to Vegas, and we would definitely book with them again!

Can't recommend this tour highly enough. Bob was our guide, and he knows SO MUCH! Found myself taking notes on my phone so I could recall it when I get home. His narrative wasn't limited to Hoover Dam... the background he offered of Vegas in general was amazing. It was the perfect length. Ours included Seven Magic Mountains and we arrived back a little earlier than estimated. I noticed other Dam visitors pausing to hear what Bob had to tell us! He was also great at taking photos for us! There is a lot of walking. It would not have been a good option for someone with impaired mobility, however perhaps I'm not aware of special accommodations that could be made that weren't needed with our group. Sad to think we may never see the dam full again.
