The Superstition Mountains were stunning and it was so nice driving through them. The disappointing parts of the trip soured our experience — first, there was confusion about our pick up time and, then, being picked up 20 minutes later than we were finally told. Next, 13 of us were crammed into the van. Albeit, there are 13 seatbelts, but we were 13 mostly good sized people and seating and legroom was TIGHT. And, then, there was the picking up/dropping off of people — a normally 40 minute ride home from the endpoint took over 2 hours. So, when you book this tour, keep in mind that at least 3 hours (coming and going) will be spent on Phoenix highways stopping along the way shuttling people.
The scenery is beautiful and taking the tour was better than driving ourselves.
