It was a truly wonderful day. Dreu was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, engaging, and paced the day well. They were helpful accommodating my food allergies as well. It's a long day but isn't too much. This is a great overview to plan where you want to explore more on other days.

We had an awesome time on our "Small Group Big Island Twilight Volcano and Stargazing Tour!" Alex, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and constantly kept us entertained with legends, stories, history, and scientific information. It was a long day but seemed to go by so quickly! We first stopped at the Kona coffee farm and learned about the plants and animals there and the reason the Kona coffee is so sought after. Luch was very surprisingly good, too! We visited the Punalu'u Black Beach and saw turtles and also stopped by the famous Punalu'u Bakery and of course sampled some yummy donuts. The trip into the volcano national park was fun and our guide knew great places for short hikes and knew about the plants, animals and rocks in the area. Unfortunately, our tour was two days after the volcano quieted, so we were not able to see the big eruption of lava, but did get to see a small orange glow from a distance. It was quite overcast and lightly misting in the park that night, but Alex was able to get us to a clear spot to see the stars, the milky way and the lunar eclipse. It was spectacular! We had a great day and would make the 12-hour tour again! It was worth the trip!

This trip was awesome. We learned so much from our guide Aaron. I have never seen so many stars and planets in my life.
