Small Group Boat, Kayak and Walking Guided Eco Tour in Everglades National Park

Overview
This very popular eco-adventure and combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great learning experience. Depending on the season, you can encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, roseate spoonbills and/or numerous species of fish and shore birds. A very comfortable transport boat will bring you deep into Everglades National Park with your Florida Master Naturalist guide. Once at the first destination, the tour slows down using very stable, comfortable kayaks to get you close to the flora and fauna. Imagine paddling next to a manatee or a dolphin! (No previous kayaking experience is required and there are single and two-person kayaks on every tour). Continue your interpretive experience with a walking tour on remote, pristine barrier island beach … a beach that is seldom visited by others.

This was such a serene explore for the Florida mangrove and water wild life. Captain Jason was very knowledgeable, patient in explaining the nature in our national treasure. The close look to the mangrove's massive root system, beautiful barnacle hanging onto it, the endless interweaving of branches made me feel in awe of the nature and God. Jason explained how the birds or fish we ran into use their unique body parts for survival. All fall into places and work together so wonderfully, so seamlessly. Only God can make it possible! I always wanted to do kayaking but with my water phobia I thought it's an impossible dream. But Captain Jason made me realize that dream with his confident calm composure, and his capable hands. He made every task he touches so easy and smooth: unloading and loading 4 kayaks, holding each kayak still so we can board and on-board from the boat; instructing us to land our kayak on the shallow bottom so we could get onto the mangrove island do shelling. I couldn't believe I was actually kayaking, for over an hour, on the peaceful water, under Florida's winter afternoon sunlight, with such an ease and grace as if I've been kayaking for years! It was almost poetic! Thank you Captain Jason, for such a memorable adventure!

Had a lovely time in the Everglades. Our guide Ron was excellent. And the Everglades were incredible. It was just too short for me. Next time I will try the longer trip through the Everglades

Our family enjoyed watching the dolphins swimming around the boat and jumping out of the water. We've never experienced dolphins in their natural environment like this. Captain Jason was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, birds, plants, and aquatic life of the area and islands of the Everglades. It's was an amazing adventure while being entertaining and educational. We highly recommend this tour. We plan to come back in the future and go on the Mangrove tunnel kayak trip.
