I booked this as I wanted to explore the mangrove island area and hoping to see some local wild life like: sea turtles, horse crabs, dolphins, and etc. I booked the 9:30 am trip because I was worried about it storming in the afternoon time. I arrived at around 9:20 am and was greeted by the super friendly guide Kristin. She said that we had some time because she was waiting on one other party of two. There is no restrooms where we were going so we were told to go ahead and use it before. And also to make sure we brought water. Kristin advised that its a nice 3 miles of rowing. You definitely got to be in decent shape to be able to participate in this. We were given life jackets. (Thank god!) My last Trip Advisor kayak trip which waters were 6 feet deep, we did not get life jackets even after asking about them. LOL So I was definitely relieved that we got some this time. The other party of 2 finally got here. I was super excited and finally got out into the open water. We had these sea ducks(not proper term) that was following us in the water and diving down into the ocean looking for fish right next to our kayawk. They appeared to be super friendly and waiting for us to feed them. There was several of them and they followed us up to the mangrove island tunnels. I got to see some mangrove crabs on the trees. The water depth appeared to be pretty shallow (2-3 feet if that). Mosquito repellent/sunscreen is a must on this trip. I sprayed some repellent and still got attacked hardcore inside the mangrove island tunnels. lol I believe we went through a total of 2 mangrove island tunnels. We then got to row to a small private beach where I got to see 2 horseshoe crabs mating in the sand. I thought that was pretty neat. There also was a dolphin from far away as you could see it's fin coming out from the water. We were interrupted by some old man on a jet ski who scared the dolphin away. He came up to us and asked a smart-ass question saying where is your boat? I wish I was FL DNR at this time where I could fine him for something. LOL We got to stay on the island for a short amount of time because a storm was headed our way. It was super long row back to where we came from. Kristin was super friendly and able to answer all our questions on our trip. She was also narrating the trip but for most of the trip, I was falling behind because I am not the best kaywak person. lol Kristin never mentioned anything of tipping her but I ended up doing it as she was great. I highly recommend this experience and definitely will be back again.

We had a kayak tour booked and had to cancel due to the approaching hurricane. Sebastian was fabulous!! Promptly refunded and took care of my needs. As soon as we are able to, we will be rebooking. I look forward to seeing what they can do on the water.

As a family of inexperienced kayakers we really recommend this tour! We went on the 1:30 kayaking tour led by Ashley and Kristen. They were so friendly, helpful and shared lots of excellent information about the wildlife in the area. Our favorite parts of the trip were the cormorants that would dive around and under our clear kayaks and going through the mangroves. It was an amazing experience, highly recommended.
