Our tour guide John (snowshoe John/hydrologist) was amazing! He was was not only passionate about the environment, he was extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife and their habitat. This tour is well worth every single penny!

Viator should screen and book through a more reliable Operator. Discover Lake Tahoe Tours is not a premier tour service in the South Lake Tahoe area as they claim. They have no contingency plans for drivers calling off sick, This second rate operation just cancels the tour at the last minute with no consideration for how much time and money a customer has spent planning their vacation. We understand the frustration and were very regretful and apologetic to cancel this tour in such a short notice. Our driver/guide came down with Covid the day before. We used to have back up staff but the pandemic forced them to move elsewhere. We're in the process of training drivers / guides to step in next time.
