Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour

Overview
We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour!
Park at our shop, a local historic building. Please don't forget to pet Crash the Cat!
With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide, you will take a short golf cart ride to your boat.
On the boat, while searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture.
At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna.
Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have.
After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then the golf cart and back to Crash the Cat.

We enjoyed our tour around the Everglades with a knowledgeable and affable guide. A great combination of boat ride, kayaking and walking, topped off with a wonderful encounter with dolphins chasing our boat in shear exuberance. (Just donā€™t forget the sunblock!)

Thanks for doing this review. Next time, you may want to try our Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Eco Tour. It is a completely different experience.

We took two tours, one of the everglades via kayak to see orchids and alligators, and another on a boat, kayak and walking tour of the 10,000 Islands area. Both were beautiful and extremely well curated by our very knowledgeable guides, Don and Jerry. Both of our guys provided excellent observations and details about what we were observing. We are reasonably fit 60-year-olds and everything about the trips felt entirely within our abilities, but also got us out into the wilderness to see flora and fauna that we don't get to see in our native California. Mosquitoes were the only downside, but they were not beyond tolerable considering it was summer.

What a beautiful way to explore the Everglades! Captain Dan was so knowledgeable about the history and animals/plants found in the Everglades. We did a four hour tour (boat assisted kayak eco tour) and only saw four other boats during that time. We saw lots of birds, a raccoon swimming (who knew?), and a couple of Atlantic bottle nosed dolphins. We got out on a deserted island and saw lots of beautiful shells and several sea turtle nests. We finished with a kayak paddle tour around another uninhabited island. It was just the right amount of kayaking. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat. We learned so much about the Everglades and feel like we truly were able to not experience them but truly appreciate the beauty and importance of them. Great job, Captain Dan. You obviously love and respect the history and culture of the place you call home.

Thank you very much for your review. The Boat Assisted Kayak Eco Tour is awesome...but nothing in comparision to the Everglades. Dan definitely is passionate about his back yard. Please come again!
