The description and photo of this tour were highly misleading. This is in no way active, involves hiking, or requires a backpack. There are requirements listed such as being moderately fit and not pregnant; these in no way apply to a 12-hour bus tour of the grand canyon region with brief stops to stretch one's legs and take photos. Our group in particular included elderly adults who were unable to walk without assistance. We were immensely disappointed by the lack of physical activity on what we understood to be a hiking tour (see backpacks in the image above). Some views and photo opportunities were nice, but these were generally in highly trafficked, touristy areas. Our guide Ty was fine; he was somewhat knowledgeable and nice enough. The lunch was tremendously fatty and unappetizing, but edible, and served in a quintessential tourist trap. I advocate that the advertising of this tour be modified to reflect reality, and to replace the jumping couple with backpacks with perhaps a retired couple. I wholeheartedly wish we would have done something different with our day instead, and I would only recommend this tour to a friend or family member who is unable to participate in normal walking tours.

Please be advised that you reserved The Ultimate Grand Canyon Tour and not our Grand Canyon Hiking Tour. The description of this tour does not discuss hiking of any kind, but moderate mobility for exploring the Wupatki Ruins. Regarding lunch, you were given a menu with a selection of items to choose from along with traditional Navajo dishes at Cameron Trading Post. Also, Cameron Trading post was established shortly after the Swayback suspension bridge was erected in 1911 and is a destination for all visitors of the Grand Canyon. Happy guests jumping in the air while at the Grand Canyon is not a misleading photo of this tour. The description is accurate and conversations and or questions with our staff may have assisted with your purchase of a more active tour, such as the Grand Canyon Hike. This is the first time we received comments such as yours on this tour. We would be more than happy to have you come back and experience a Grand Canyon Hiking Tour with us in the future.

This was a nice tour of northern Arizona and the east/south rim of the Grand Canyon, which is spectacular. Tour was in a van that held 9 people. Mark, the tour guide, was interesting and knowledgeable about the history, culture, and geology of the area. If you have never been to the Grand Canyon, this is a good way to go.

Gail was our guide and she did an amazing job. She was very knowledgeable and was able to transmit her love of the Grand Canyon and its surroundings, including history, fauna and flora. Its a long day as we start at 7.30am and finish around 6.30pm but she kept us interested all the time. I prefer walking tours so was not keep on being in a bus all day but I really enjoyed myself and learned a lot.
