My wife and I visited Arizona for the first time this week. We stayed in Sedona, which I recommend, and took the Ultimate Grand Canyon Day Trip. It was our first time to see a National Park on a tour, and the whole experience was beyond our expectations. We could not have seen or learned as much in one day on our own. Our driver/guide, Rick Lee, was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. We drove the beautiful Oak Creek Trail from Sedona to Flagstaff. I would not have seen a third of this magnificent scenery if I had driven it myself. On our way to the Grand Canyon, we stopped at the Sunrise Crater National Park where we saw the dormant volcano and walked on the lava flow; we visited Wapatki National Monument and saw ancient American Native ruins. We stopped at the Little Colorado Gorge on our way to the Navajo Nation. There we visited the Cameron Trading Post where Rick had made reservations for us for lunch. We had a delicious meal (included with the tour). We were able to shop while we waited on our food. From the Navajo Nation, we went to the Grand Canyon. We entered through the less crowded East Entrance and visited the Watchtower. From there we made several stops on our way around to the South Rim's including a visit to El Tovar. This was a fantastic tour, and I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially first time visitors to the Grand Canyon. There is so much to see, but I felt like we saw the really interesting sites and received excellent commentary at each one. Best of all, I didn't spend time researching everything trying to decide on what to see and do. We just showed up and let Rick do everything for us.

Overall the Grand Canyon day trip was wonderful. Ed, our guide/driver was on time, courteous, patient if we lagged behind and very well informed.

An incredible day was made an exceptional day because of our luck in getting Ed Preston as our tour guide. Ed provides nonstop detailed information about all the sights from Sedona to and including the Grand Canyon. He is the most experienced guide and amazes with the breadth and detail of his knowledge from rock formations to the Hopi and other tribes and their rituals and more. Highly recommend this tour and especially Ed if you're lucky enough to get on his adventure.
