Tour guide Lynn was great. Very knowledgeable. Numerous stops at interesting places, including of course several views of the Grand Canyon.

We joined our host Brian on this tour on 3 January, with pick-up in Sedona at 0720 - so it was a long day! It was a very cold day and had been snowing so it was good to be in the hands of someone who knew the roads well. The visit to the Grand Canyon (with various stops in the national park itself) was amazing - after wanting to visit for so long. One not to forget and some wonderful memories. It was good to do this trip with a guide although there's always some compromises to be made on an organised excursion. For us, the compromise was the extended stay at the Cameron Trading Post. Lunch there (included in the price) was fine - and it was really nice to have time to chat with our fellow travellers. But we were there for 2 hours which seemed excessive. The Trading Post itself seemed overpriced, in my view - in fact some incredibly high prices! Our trip was slightly compromised by the 'Government shutdown' but luckily the Grand Canyon has remained open throughout the dispute. Our guide was really well informed and we enjoyed his company. He also got us back to Sedona in very good time - we arrived back at the hotel around 6pm.

If you are going to the Grand Canyon my best advice is to do one of the tours available. It is well work the money . They take you right to the best observation points and you get the best pictures. They also take you to lots of other interesting stuff on the way to Canyon. We stayed in Flagstaff which is about 90 minutes or so from the canyon. Highlights of what we saw - Lava flows in Crater Lake... Really interesting and hands on with lost of stories - Indian ruins/ pueblos taht were so cool that reminded me of an ancient hotel complex... Very well preserved and again the stories/history are amazing The canyon . its self... You go right up to the edge if you want... Saw a mountain lion den very awesome ... Lunch at a native American restaurant . Got the Navajo Taco.. It was delicious and Huge... The guides are great and very knowledgable
