What To Expect
1
Route 66
After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.
2
Williams Depot
Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.
3
Grand Canyon National Park
Just before entering the Grand Canyon National Park, you will be checked in for your 45 minute helicopter flight, spanning over 90 miles of the Grand Canyon. After your flight, your guide will bring you back into the National Park to discover more by foot. You will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or relax with the best seat in the house. Your total time at Grand Canyon including the helicopter and walking is approximately 3 hours, with approximately 1-1.5 hours on the rim walking.

We’re so glad he could not only handle all the driving for you, so you could relax, but also pay special attention to your needs, so you could fully take in this amazing places. We agree that the helicopter add-on over the Grand Canyon is a great choice. Please reach out to us in the future, when you’re ready for your next adventure exploring the American West!

Took the full day tour last week. Despite monsoon season, our tour was not effected. Joe was our guide and he was fantastic. made sure everyone was comfortable, looked after and safe. He was amazing with all the knowledge he shared with us during our drive, and seemed passionate about his job and the whole area. His jokes were on par and very accommodating! The helicopter ride was mind blowing, and def the best way to see the canyon! it was nice to have the hr ride, and then be able to walk along side the canyon. We will be recommending this activity to anyone we know going to Phoenix!

Hi Melissa… Thank you for the opportunity to show you the Grand Canyon in our special way. We’re so glad you had the opportunity to take in the helicopter ride and that you enjoyed Joe’s service where he was able to handle all the driving, provide some great knowledge about the Canyon in Arizona, and of course, make some jokes too. ;-) We appreciate you taking a moment to share your experience, and hope to see you on another adventure with us, before too long.

All in alll it was a great tour. All be it, my tour didn't quite follow the tour description. There was a plus and and a minus here and there. The pick up at the hotel was a great convenience. There was a small detour to Sedona to pick up others. This was a plus. It gave a great opportunity to see red rock country. Spent about 25 minutes there. Took a photo or two. Then onwards to Williams. Spent about 30 minutes there and few photos taken. Note, the views and vistas along the way were spectacular. Next up is the helicopter tour. Cause of smoke in the canyon the helicopters can't fly into the greater part of the canyon. We can't do the 45 min tour. We are offered an abbreviated '30 min' tour just across and back. Actual time almost 25 minute with a 30 refund. Still a spectacular experience but not what was expected or described. Then we spent about a half hour or so on the rim and then the return back. I would have liked to have spent a little more time along the conyon rim. The views may not have been crisp but were amazing. I don't when if ever I would have the opportunity to go to the Grand Canyon again. Notes: there's a lot of driving involved. There's a lot of distances to cover. You do spend most of your time in transport. There are ample pit stops. I wouldn't have called lunch a lunch. A ceasar salad , two Oreos, tiny bag of chips, and a small apple a meal. When there's an opportunity to get something to eat along the way, do so or bring your own meal with you. It's 13 hours. Water is provided.
