What To Expect

Grand Canyon West

Your first destination of the tour is the Grand Canyon West, home to the famous Skywalk. Start off at Eagle Point where you have the choice to experience the Grand Canyon Skywalk (for an additional fee), browse the rim of the canyon, or check out the native village where you might see some dancers! Next up, you'll head to Guano Point. Here, experience 360-views of the canyon and beam down at the Colorado River below. Enjoy some BBQ lunch and have some free time to yourself at the canyon. Your expert tour guide will talk about the geology, the Colorado River, the mining and the Mojave Desert at the West Rim.

Hoover Dam

Head to the Hoover Dam after your Grand Canyon West experience to see this engineering marvel. Enjoy some free time at the Visitor Center to check out the souvenirs and purchase some snacks. Your guide will walk you across the Hoover Dam and talk about the Hoover Dam history, geology, Lake Mead, and more. ** Please Note - Due to COVID-19, the interior of the Hoover Dam is currently closed **

We booked this having seen the good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was that this was very overpriced and very rushed for the experience. We definitely didn’t find it value for money and wouldn’t recommend this tour - you would get a better (and cheaper) experience from just booking an Uber driver! - in fact my driver from the airport was more entertaining and welcoming! We were celebrating a number of special occasions for our family. We informed the driver of this as well, but he didn’t do anything to make our experience feel special - and only took 2 photos with our camera of our family in the entire 10 hour trip! We had an early start and the ‘rushing’ began even before we got into the vehicle, with an initial call about 10mins before our scheduled pickup time to urge us to get to the pick up point. Throughout the journey, the driver constantly pointed out the need for everyone to visit the restrooms as a priority to make sure we didn’t lose any time. At the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, he wasted a lot of time with uninteresting facts and then left us very little time to take family photos. At the second Grand Canyon stop, he pointed out that there was a lovely picnic spot, and as we grabbed our lunch to take it with us, he said that there wasn’t time for that and we had to leave our lunch in the vehicle and eat it on the way to the Hoover Dam due to time constraints! At the Hoover Dam, the tour was appalling! We were first urged again to use the restrooms to save time, and then were shown an ancient film of the Hoover Dam, and then left with about 10mins to actually take photos, with no time to visit the exhibition center which was included as part of the tour price. The driver then informed us the order in which he was doing drop offs of the passengers to the hotels (which had no bearing to the original pick up order) and thanked us for our understanding to allow him to do this to get himself home more time efficiently! It feels that our whole tour was time based on our driver being able to get home on time - rather than leaving us with the truly family memorable experience which we were led to believe that we would receive, especially when viewing something such as the Grand Canyon. Visiting the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam can be lifelong memories - just not with this tour company though.

Was amazing day our tour guide Glen was friendly and informative Nothing was too much trouble for him and kept the cold water coming Which was needed as was extremely hottest day of our honeymoon Would recommend to anyone Pink Jeeps was great day out

A wonderful day seeing the sights from the comfort of a pink jeep! The day was made by our fantastic tour guide Bobby who informed and entertained with great humour and patience. Despite the temperature reaching over 105 degrees, Bobby was able to make a good tour great. Mark, Beth, Jack and Amanda will be back!
