At Hoover Dam, cross into Arizona for incredible views before being led on an expertly guided tour atop the dam. Then, venture below and inside the Power Plant* for a tour led by a Bureau of Reclamation guide. Walk through original construction tunnels and see the eight massive generators of of the Nevada Powerhouse!

*Should access to the Hoover Dam Generator Room be restricted by the Bureau of Reclamation, the tour will include stops at the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge and the Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum.

Boulder City

Drive through the historic Boulder City as you make your way to the Hoover Dam. Your guide will explain the area and history of this charming city.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Lake Mead, the country’s largest reservoir, can be seen as you arrive at the historical Hoover Dam. Your guide will explain the surrounding area and Lake Mead itself.

Hoover Dam

The Hoover Dam stands as a tribute to US ingenuity and engineering during a time of adversity and hardship. Head to the Arizona side of the Dam to take in towering views of the Dam and the Colorado River below. Enjoy a walking tour with your guide atop the Dam as they share the history and interesting facts of the past. Guests will get to stop off at the Visitor Center to grab some souvenirs or snacks. Guests will get some free time to roam the area. Go below and inside the Dam for a tour of the Power Plant** led by an official guide of the Bureau of Reclamation. Our driver Don was fantastic. Super friendly and funny. The dam is great too. Only reason it’s a 4/5 is that I thought there would be more of a tour of the dam itself. As it was, it was just a short drive by and photo op, the extremely short government tour, and a few minutes of unguided time. It looked like some other groups got a guided tour of the dam itself beyond just the generator room, and we had thought this would be more similar to that.
