Overall, we had a great experience, and it was nice to not have to drive. The views are incredible, and we got some great photo ops. Additionally, the offroading was super fun! I've never done that before and it was a HOOT.
However, I am not giving five stars for two reasons. The first is that they did not warn us how much colder it is on the Jeep going to the mountains than it is at the pickup point. We are not from here- where we live it is flat, and we had no idea how freezing it would be on the tour despite the forecasted temp being 75 degrees that day. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and was super cold for most of the trip because of the wind and temperature drops. Secondly, I had really hoped for more information about the national park on this tour. The description made it sound like this would be a big part of the tour, but I would say the guide maybe only spent 15-20 minutes talking about the history of the park out of a total 3 hours. He did not talk about hardly anything that happened before the park was founded, or the lengthy political process that went into making it. He also didn't go into the natural history of the park. When I asked how the Smokies were formed (aka what natural processes created the mountain range), he could not answer it. I was just hoping for a bit more information, but I get that this isn't everyone's expectation.
