Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

This was my favorite kayaking trip to date. Our guide Spencer was knowledgeable friendly and funny. We saw horseshoe crabs near the Shell Key beach. Cormorant ducks where are the highlight of the trip. They followed us the whole time diving and eating fish and popping up out of nowhere beside our kayaks. We also saw dozens of fish jumping in the air out of the water. It was an amazing experience! The water is so warm. Make sure you wear a bathing suit under your clothes and bring a snorkel because the water is crystal clear! Our guide even took pictures of us and text them to us!!!!

This was my wife and I’s first trip with the Coastal Kayak charters. We really did not know what to expect. We were delightfully surprised by the tour! First off our guide Doug was absolutely the best. He was so friendly and kind and very knowledgeable of the eco-systems of the mangroves as well as the multiple types of birds that we encountered while Kayaking. Secondly, the beauty of the bay water, the mangroves, and shell Island was fabulous as well. Lastly, the trip itself was so relaxing. Seems strange to say that since we were kayaking, but it was honestly so relaxing. All in all, just wanted to highly recommend Coastal Kayak charters!!
