Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

We had a great time last week with Ross as our guide. Ross is such an interesting man, he has so many stories about the area, the animals, and many about various travels and life experience. The whole thing was perfect. Kayaking was fun, safe, so much fun to be on the water in January and not in the snow. We'll be back, they are so welcoming.

This was our favorite part of our trip. We didn’t plan it and it was just a random moment idea and it proved to be the best idea of our vacation. The tour guide Ross was our guide but we met the other guide who was equally nice. He was very knowledgeable of the area and the environment. At a moment he spotted dolphins that would normally look like just waves. As we paddled toward them we got to encounter them up close as they fed and played. There were birds that swam along side of the kayaks to eat the fish below us as our kayak caused the fish to come out. Going through the mangroves was an unbelievable unique experience. The pictures we gathered from those and the shell island captured a lifetime of wonderful memories. We definitely recommend and will return to this specific company. You will not be disappointed. Other kayakers had went on the glass bottom light tour and told us that this trip was far better quality and better adventure than that one. We are happy we chose this tour.

Bryan was such a wonderful and knowledgeable trip leader! We got to see many pelicans, cormorants, ospreys, the rare reddish egrit, and even a few dolphins! If you’re looking for several hours of laid back kayaking while learning about St Pete’s unique and beautiful ecosystem, this is the perfect experience!
