Small-Group Malibu Wine Hike

Overview

The hike is a guided 2.5 mile loop around the property where you will get to walk through the vines, see amazing views, visit our Chumash Native American cave paintings, and explore our organic garden. The hike is considered easy to moderate with about 300 feet of elevation gain and loss. This tour is open for all ages, however due to the terrain we cannot allow strollers or wagons. At the end of the tour guests will receive wine to-go.

Second time doing the wine hike and enjoyed as much as the first time. It was as if everyone in our small group was celebrating life and being outside again with people. I do believe our tour guide, Casey, helped to start our adventure on the right foot by having us introduce ourselves and share what new thing we learned last week. Great ice breaker. You could tell Casey really enjoyed her job by her enthusiasm and knowledge of winery and the ranch.

As breathtaking as the views are, I think our tour guide, Taylor, really made the difference. Her comprehensive knowledge of the ranch, coupled with her easy-going personality, really made the experience above and beyond any other. In general, the staff working there are overly friendly and helpful. We were here on vacation, and they provided great recommendations for food/things to do in California. Haley and Joe wrote down a number of great recommendations for us, which really gave us a better sense of the area rather than reading blogs/using Yelp. Greg even invited us to see him perform live at one of the local bars in Los Angeles. Missing the live music atmosphere from the past year of COVID, we decided to go, and we absolutely loved it! There were a number of great performers (in addition to Greg), and it definitely gave us that speakeasy vibe we were looking for while visiting Los Angeles. Overall, the hike/views were incredible, but it was easily the Saddlerock staff that made the difference.

We had a really great time our guide Joe Flores made all the difference, he kept everything very interesting and had a great knowledge of the ranch and a great sense of humor! The scenery was stunning! There are wonderful gardens to explore, many animals giraffe, zebra, lama’s cattle and horses. If you are fully vaccinated (and have your proof) no masks required on the hike! Joe took all the groups pictures and sent them to us after at the end of the day. Would highly recommend.
