We loved spending our morning at Saddlerock Ranch, enjoying the Malibu Wine Hike! It was fascinating to hear about the property’s roots, and we loved our guide Ashley. She was a wealth of information and so enthusiastic about what she does! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the LA area.

A+ tour!!! An intimate way of viewing the gorgeous Malibu Wines property up close and personal!! The hike is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Our tour guide happened to be the owner's son and was so knowledgeable and passionate about the property and details of nature. The views is gorgeous and everything you would hope for a day outdoors! Definitely bring a water bottle, hat and sunscreen for high noon sun. There is a stop halfway through to have a picnic and enjoy the wine tasting. I suggest bringing some food or buying a cheese plate to enjoy with the wine pairings. You get to see all the animals on site as well, so bring your camera! We were there in May and there were no bugs or mosquitos, it was perfect weather.

I was hesitant at first, since the fires destroyed the winery, but to my surprise this was such an amazing day, Kurt was our guide and he was awesome. He wasn’t in a rush so we took our time enjoying everything on ranch.all the exotic animals were great, but Stanley the giraffe was top notch. My suggestion is bring a small picnic lunch because half way through you sit at this beautiful Spot on the ranch and sample the wines. I would definitely recommend it as well as do it again
