Small-Group Malibu Wine Hike

Overview

The hike is a guided 2.5 mile loop around the property where you will get to walk through the vines, see amazing views, visit our Chumash Native American cave paintings, and explore our organic garden. The hike is considered easy to moderate with about 300 feet of elevation gain and loss. This tour is open for all ages, however due to the terrain we cannot allow strollers or wagons. At the end of the tour guests will receive a 375 ML bottle of wine to-go.

I have patronized the Malibu Wine Safari but the Malibu Wine Hike was much more satisfying, more personable talking with the guide. The wine tasting was good but the exercise, the surrounding, you don't appreciate as much when riding...

Our guide Elaine took us through the ranch/vineyard, hiking through several viewpoints and remote corners of the estate. A very lovely morning, clear skies. She was knowledgeable about the working of the ranch and knew all about the backstories of the animals. Plus we were able to feed a giraffe. Super crazy up-close. Way larger then you expect. His tongue comes out and wraps around the lettuce. Very friendly. Cool water buffalo in mud also.

The Malibu Wines Hikes is definitely something that I would highly recommend to do as a group activity on any given day! Kurt was the absolute best and showed our group the best time with the most entertaining hike we have ever been on. Our group was pretty big for a hike and he made sure that we were all taken care of, especially when it came to the wine tasting. We were able to see all parts of what the famous Malibu Saddlerock Ranch along with stops to many of the animals on the property, including being able to feed Stanley the Giraffe! The Hike is filled with stops, so you’ll be able to enjoy and take in the many beautiful views and surroundings of the entire Ranch. Thank you Kurt for the amazing experience, we can’t wait to be back there to do it all again soon!
