What a great day! Captains Bob and Dustin were phenomenal guides and hosts on our adventure. We were a little concerned that our 9-year-old would be anxious about the wet suit or the snorkel or mask, or even the manatees themselves, but Dustin explained everything calmly and assuredly and our son took to the experience like a champ. Dustin expertly guided our small group to a grazing manatee and helped us be passive observers while still being very close to the action (well, grazing). Though the day was not too chilly, the captains also had coffee, hot chocolate, and cold water for us to enjoy while we were in the boat. When we saw the pictures and videos, too, we were glad we'd bought the thumb drive to keep our memories. This was really an unparallelled experience. Be sure to bring some cash for tipping - these captains are experts at what they do!

Well, it's been a week since I cavorted with manatees, and I can't stop thinking about it. I was worried when we were still looking for manatees after 40 minutes, but I shouldn't have. These captains (not operators, real captains) are manatee whisperers! It was so warm, (80's F), that there were only a few manatees, and they were in Kings Bay with only about 18" visibility. Not the best circumstances, but it worked. We even saw a baby - awwww! Since there were no manatees at 3 sisters, we were able to swim in the sanctuary. Incredibly cool and beautiful. So actually, we got the best of both worlds - manatees & a private swim in 3 sisters. Anyway, you can't go wrong with this outfit. They are very professional and dedicated to making your dreams come true.

What a wonderful experience literally coming face to face with these amazing critters. Captains John and Bob were spot on with their predictions relating to our sighting probability at this point in the season. We literally stepped off the boat minutes into our tour right in front of a mother and young manatee! The knowledge, insight and humor from both our host was genuine and appreciated. Comfortable and reliable equipment added to the elevated level of enjoyment. Definitely recommend the Adventure Center at Plantation on Crystal River. Ins isnā€™t on John and Bob.
