Small-Group Public BYOB Sunset Boat Tour on Lake Austin

Overview

Perfect for solo travelers or small groups who don’t want to rent the entire boat themselves, this intimate cruise offers the perks of a private cruise without the associated costs. Our captain serves as a tour guide who may point out landmarks, celebrity homes, or share their own personal stories from the lake. Bring your own drinks—alcoholic beverages welcome—and a camera to capture photos of the lakeside grotto known as Little Venice.

The Lake Austin cruise takes off from the Loop 360 Boat Ramp located below the southern end of Pennybacker Bridge over Lake Austin. This three-acre park is primarily used for lake access, but offers a grassy area for picnicking. A few bald cypress and sycamore trees grow along the water's edge.

Multiple boats are used for this event, we'll do our best to accommodate special seating requests. Please let us know if you have friends booking separately that you'd like to sit with.

Pennybacker Bridge

Mount Bonnell, also known as Covert Park, is a prominent point alongside the Lake Austin portion of the Colorado River in Austin, Texas. It has been a popular tourist destination since the 1850s.

A semi-private grotto we call Little Venice where you get a closeup view of the Lake Austin mansions.

Captain Adam was great and very accommodating. He took us to a cove away from the crowd, and we had a blast. The best part was the drive back to the marina. The sunset was great. Would highly recommend for a group of friends.

The BYOB sunset tour was a perfect way to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. Capitan Robert was super responsive to my inquiries and suggested pick up options that accommodated the entire group. Erin was our host and she did a fantastic job staging the boat with a few decorations that we had to surprise our mother. She set the boat up made sure that everyone had a drink in their hand. Robert was super knowledgeable on the history of the lake and shared some very cool facts. Not only was he a great captain, he was also our impromptu photographer and captured some memories that we will always have with our mother. I would 100% book with Float On Lake Travis and cannot wait to plan our next party with him. Thank you again !

Recent outing on Lake Travis. Zane was our captain . Wonderful experience. Beautiful setting Highly recommended
