Gayle was awesome! She knew what she was talking about and was a lot of fun (she deserves the spa day 😉). Definitely the best way to see Hana and the highway as a whole. I would have missed some stuff without the tour.

First, let me just say that Jim was an amazing tour guide. He provided such great information about the Road to Hana, Hana itself, Hawaiian history and culture, and even a few personal stories. It made the trip very personal and much more interactive then just being driven around. He also was a great driver on a sometimes very scary road! My wife and I really enjoyed the small-group tour as it was only ourselves and another family of four in the van. The tour itself was excellent too. We stopped for breakfast before we began our trek, enjoyed swimming in waterfalls and a black sand beach, had lunch when we arrived in Hana, and then stopped for fresh banana bread at Halfway to Hana on the way back. The views, although tense for me at times (fear of heights), were breathtaking. I’m so glad we did the tour and an even happier that we really lucked out with Jim as our guide! Mahalo for everything! 🤙🏼

Gayle was very personable and joyful. The tour showed many things I wouldn’t have noticed on my own, while also explaining history and culture. If you did the drive on your own, it’s a risky road for tourists, and you would miss sights while keeping your eyes on the road.
