This is not your typical wine tour. We offer private access to ultra small production, family wineries, estates and vineyard properties typically not open to the general public. SHARED/ GROUP WINE TOUR (max 6-7 guests). Taste limited release wines at all private property locations, walk the vineyards and tour barrel rooms often with the owners or winemakers themselves at their private vineyard homes. Perfect for couples or small groups (max of seven guests per day). No crowded commercial wineries or tasting rooms. All seated private area tastings.

Loved the entire day, all parts were our favorite, picked up at our house and went to 3 very different and good wineries. Loved meeting Sean, the wine maker, and all was exactly as promised and expected. This area reminded me of Sonoma about 30 yrs ago and that’s a good thing. You will not be disappointed in this adventure.

For my 50th birthday I decided to do a girl's trip in the San Ynez valley area. As a group we've been on several wine tours and this, by far, was one of the best. It was nice and intimate; the tour guide was very knowledgeable about wine and the whole region. The wineries they choose were fantastic and I walked away with a few bottles from each stop. This trip really reminded me of my time in Italy touring around some of the local wineries in Tuscany - speaking with the owners, winemakers, and/or workers, walking through the vineyards, etc. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely book a tour again!

What an unbelievable day. From first meeting Steven to Mercedes van with captain chairs and a really smooth ride. Steven provides a highlight of what we're going to see, taste, and of course smell. His wine knowledge was amazing as was his knowledge of the countryside. The ride to and from the winery was spectacular. what a beautiful area. If you are looking for an experience that you will talk about for years to some do not miss Sustainable Wine Tours.
