What To Expect

Montezuma Castle National Monument

To be true to the area's rich history, the Sedona single day tour gives you a chance to explore ancient Native American civilization. You'll visit the ruins at Montezuma Castle National Monument which are the most easily accessible, best preserved and arguably the most spectacular cliff ruins in North America. You'll see an impressive 20-room, 5-story structure built into the recess of a white limestone cliff about 70 feet (21 meters) above the ground.

All the red rocks scenery and the chapel of the Holy Cross were well worth the trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

I would not hesitate to recommend Detours based on our experience. It was an easy booking process and Detours was a pleasure to work with. What stands out about this tour is the incredible amount information we learned from our excellent driver/guide (Dan) not only about Sedona but also the places we passed on the ride up to and from Scottsdale. Dan was articulate and gave so many details about the geography, topography, plant life, history (past and present), etc. He is an amazing tour guide. Our tour bus had comfortable seats and water bottles were offered to everyone. We made occasional comfort stops along the way. Everything was so well organized.
