What To Expect

Montezuma Castle National Monument

To be true to the area's rich history, the Sedona single day tour gives you a chance to explore ancient Native American civilization. You'll visit the ruins at Montezuma Castle National Monument which are the most easily accessible, best preserved and arguably the most spectacular cliff ruins in North America. You'll see an impressive 20-room, 5-story structure built into the recess of a white limestone cliff about 70 feet (21 meters) above the ground.

This day tour to Sedona was amazing. Our tour guide Derek was a wealth of knowledge. This was our first tour with Detours and was impressed! The small group touring is highly recommended.

Was in Phoenix for business but came early and decided to take a day trip, so very glad we did. Tracey was our guide and he shared so much great info throughout the day at every one of our stops. Made sure we were all comfortable and taken care of and that we saw as much of the area as possible. Was really moved by everything we saw and experienced, especially the Chapel of the Holy Cross. I am not a religious person but it touched something in me. Highly recommend this tour!

My cousin and I did the Sedona Red Rock day tour yesterday. Sam was our guide. This was my fifth Detours tour. The past four were Grand Canyon day trips. Mark was my very first guide (you can read my review on that tour) and, without exception, Detours has continued to deliver. Their guides are so knowledgeable and truly passionate about their “jobs”. I say “jobs” because to me, it never seems like the guides find it “work”. They seem truly happy to have us, to show us the wonders of the state of Arizona, and to give us more than just great photo opportunities! You’ll also get lessons in geology, geography, botany, and history. Sam gave us a memorable day yesterday. He’s intelligent, funny, and passionate about the outdoors.
