Montezuma Castle National Monument

To be true to the area's rich history, the Sedona single day tour gives you a chance to explore ancient Native American civilization. You'll visit the ruins at Montezuma Castle National Monument which are the most easily accessible, best preserved and arguably the most spectacular cliff ruins in North America. You'll see an impressive 20-room, 5-story structure built into the recess of a white limestone cliff about 70 feet (21 meters) above the ground.

Sam was an amazing tour guide as he shared his vast knowledge of Arizona including the history of native people, geologic formation of the rocks and botanical information. Sam was receptive to the interests of each member of the tour and took us on an additional adventure to Oak Creek Canyon. The stop at the overlook in Oak Creek Canyon was my favorite part of the entire day. At this location there was a beautiful overlook of the canyon with an agave in bloom and there Navajo people selling their handmade jewelry. This was an outstanding tour.

Our tour was awesome! One drawback was that our van’s AC was broken for the way back and it was pretty hot. But our driver got us back as quickly as possible. An unfortunate way to end an otherwise great tour!

The tour itself was awesome and mostly to our tour guide Jason. He’s very knowledgeable and funny. A must have for everyone who wants to make their stay in Arizona memorable.
