Small Group Shark and Turtle Dive for Certified Divers

Overview

You enter the water and, after a short surface swim, descend on a condemned pier that has transformed into a vibrant reef. Schools of fish surround the wreckage that has accumulated colorful corals and sponges.

Turtles swim all around in organized chaos as you search for camouflaged frogfish, making it hard to decide where to look. You follow your instructor as they lead you through the obstacle course of the wreck, swimming under and through the old dock where you spot a pregnant reef shark resting under a section of cement and pause to admire her beauty. As you make your way back to your starting point you focus on the multitude of turtles that gracefully soar through the clear water.

My 16 yr old son (certified diver who dives about 1-2x/year) really enjoyed this pier dive out of Lahaina. Dive Guide Mia was super! & nonDiver family members can grab breakfast off Front street or even snorkel nearby. Highly Recommend !

Great dive for my and my son - his first dive after certification. Saw turtles, reef sharks, fish, octopus, and more. Really a great experience from start to finish, highly recommend Dive Maui!

Abby was super helpful and knowledgeable. The dive site had amazing visibility (50 ft) and we saw turtles, white tip sharks, and all the fish you could imagine! It was a perfect first dive for our son following his certification. The location and dive team couldn’t have been more perfect !
