Our new heated (during winter), luxury pontoon aims to amp up the manatee sighting and deliver a more personal event! Observe the endangered West Indian Manatee in Crystal River’s idyllic Kings Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Your US Coast Guard licensed captains and guides will take you into the 600 acre spring fed refuge waters for viewing and snorkeling with these slow moving wild giants. All equipment, fees, snacks and beverages are included.

What To Expect

River Ventures

Embark on your journey with a Coast Guard Certified Master Captain who will be your in water chaperon, educator and photographer. Your tour will run four hours from start to finish and everything you will need is included for one price. You will begin at our full-service tour facility, where you will be educated about the animals in a classroom type setting and receive tips for your snorkel tour to make the most of your day. You will be taught the in’s and out’s of ‘passive interaction’ as this ensures that the animals enjoy the experience as much as we do! You will then be suited up and transported to the dock, where a Coast Guard certified covered pontoon will be waiting for you. This rich estuary will amaze…..birds, fish and wildlife abound! Submerge yourself in the manatee’s world! Finish your adventure by viewing your Captain’s photos back at our facility and be sure to visit our one-of-a-kind gift shop! Our well-informed staff will direct to other local attractions, restaurants and answer of your questions before you are on your way.

We booked an early morning tour and had Captain Troy and Captain Mike as our guides. My mother and I had the best time! They were both very knowledge and we felt very comfortable. Troy manned the boat and Mike led the way in the water. He was great! He also took some awesome pictures. We were able to see a manatee on our first stop and it was wonderful! It's amazing to see these gentle mammals in their natural habitat.The Crystal River is beautiful. We will definitely be coming back again to bring some other family members to experience this. Can't wait to do it again! See you again in the fall Troy and Mike!

We had a wonderful experience and see why this outfit is rated so highly! Our first time in the water, we had three manatees to ourselves. Three of us in our group had separate up close and personal experiences when we had manatees begin to surface underneath us and give each of us an unexpected boost! Mike, our in water guide and photographer, did an absolutely amazing job with our six year old daughter. She started off nervous, but he had her comfortable in no time at all and at one point, I had to swim him down so she could tell him about the TWO manatees that she had just seen. Three Sisters was three shades of a mess with all of the people that didn't care about proper etiquette, but our captain and guide made the most of every place that we stopped. Look no further, you won't do better with any better company.

We were nervous taking a 5 and 7 year old out with us (despite their many years of swimming lessons) on this trip, but it was well worth it! Captain Jack and India were fabulous! Knowledgeable and friendly. India was AMAZING with our girls, and really made this entire experience with them easy and enjoyable. Mom even had some time alone out with the manatees! We went in the afternoon, which was nice because there were less people. We saw so many manatees, including calves. It was just all around awesome! Thanks for a great first exoerience, and making it family friendly!!!
