Our new heated (during winter), luxury pontoon aims to amp up the manatee sighting and deliver a more personal event! Observe the endangered West Indian Manatee in Crystal River’s idyllic Kings Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Your US Coast Guard licensed captains and guides will take you into the 600 acre spring fed refuge waters for viewing and snorkeling with these slow moving wild giants. All equipment, fees, snacks and beverages are included.

What To Expect

River Ventures

Embark on your journey with a Coast Guard Certified Master Captain who will be your in water chaperon, educator and photographer. Your tour will run four hours from start to finish and everything you will need is included for one price. You will begin at our full-service tour facility, where you will be educated about the animals in a classroom type setting and receive tips for your snorkel tour to make the most of your day. You will be taught the in’s and out’s of ‘passive interaction’ as this ensures that the animals enjoy the experience as much as we do! You will then be suited up and transported to the dock, where a Coast Guard certified covered pontoon will be waiting for you. This rich estuary will amaze…..birds, fish and wildlife abound! Submerge yourself in the manatee’s world! Finish your adventure by viewing your Captain’s photos back at our facility and be sure to visit our one-of-a-kind gift shop! Our well-informed staff will direct to other local attractions, restaurants and answer of your questions before you are on your way.

Our experience today was awesome, more then I could of ever imagined! The staff were extremely nice, and helpful. I couldn’t honestly say there was anything else the staff could of done to make my family feel at ease and welcomed from the minute we arrived. We had Paige as our guide and Troy as the boat captain. The found manatees almost immediately and sent our entire tour with them. These two people were the absolute best guides to be with! They were very caring for the Manatees and us as their tour guests. Our kids got cold and needed to get back on the boat, so Troy did a great job entertaining them, and keeping them warm! I believe the inside of the boat was a 100 when we got back on. Lol I can’t speak of other companies that offer the same service as this was our first and only time, but the point of this review, is to help anyone looking for a great place to swim with Manatees, they deliver. We saw tons of Manatees, in the presence of great people!!

Took a Private Manatee Tour yesterday with Kelly and Captain Dave. Our group consisted of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, it was an Awesome Experience from start to finish. Saw lots of manatees and fish. Little chilly but definitely worth it and the coffee and hot chocolate was a great ending to our trip. Then onto an airboat ride with Bryan. Chilly but it was so much fun, so glad we did it! Will be back!
