Parker Ranch

Waipi'o Valley

Visit majestic Waipio Valley Lookout to capture lush and tall cliffs that drop into the sparkling ocean

Akaka Falls State Park

In the afternoon, we continue the drive down the scenic Hamakua Coast and visit the towering Akaka Falls, which plummets 442 feet into a stream-eroded gorge.

Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden

Throughout this garden valley, nature trails meander through a true tropical rainforest, crossing bubbling streams, passing several beautiful waterfalls, and the exciting ocean vistas along the rugged Pacific Coast. This highly acclaimed garden allows you to take up-close shots of rare and exotic flora- over 2000 species of exotic tropical plants and orchids in a tranquil setting.

Kulaniapia Falls

In the afternoon, you will escape the crowd and get to swim under the 120 feet tall Kulaniapia private waterfall, Hawaii’s largest privately accessible waterfall, to cool down and relax when river conditions permit.

Rainbow Falls

Visit the beautiful 80-foot waterfall in Hilo with giant banyan trees beside it.

Awesome tour very informative our tour guide Kawika was the best, waterfalls were beautiful, had a wonderful time at the private waterfall was given 30 mins to spend their, lunch was healthy and delicious. Guide for valley tour is different his name was Douglas also great, the island is very beautiful and full of culture both our tour guides were awesome at giving us quick but informative rundown on the history and culture as we went through the tour. Definitely a must do!

What an amazing adventure! Jonathan our guide was wonderful- friendly, knowledgeable and all around great! His stories of the island and historical knowledge really helped to understand what we were seeing and allowed the group to see the island through the eyes of how it used to be: Top notch, I highly recommend taking this tour!

Hard to rate this tour because we did not get to do this tour. we were picked up in the morning and taken on a different route. We still saw Waipio Valley which is spectacular, but did not get to Akaka Falls went instead to some smaller falls and a Macadamia nut farm At the falls, everyone else knew to bring swim apparel and enjoy a dip - we did not have that in our tour info so it was a stand and watch others. This was an altogether different tour which we were put into I believe because our tour did not have enough participants. We did get a small refund from Viator but still very disappointing If we had been told we were taking a different tour, we would either have been prepared, or cancelled and found another tour to Akaka Falls. We were not given that choice. We were not told at pickup that it was not the tour we booked. All other tours with Viator, in many different countries, have been excellent. This was a major disappointment.
