Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light hearted and truly memorable experiences. Your guide will set up a tasty picnic lunch for you at a picturesque winery. We are showing awesome (and COVID-safe) wine tours! Vehicles are frequently sanitized. Hand sanitizer on bus. Per CDC transportation guidelines, we recommend guests wear masks on board the tour shuttle. Safe, but still really fun.

Your tour will begin with pickup from your Napa Valley hotel. Where you are staying will define the tour region that you will be visiting. If your accommodations are outside of the winery region, you can arrange to meet us a general meeting spot. You’ll visit three charming, backroads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. This is not a smarmy or touristy activity. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers.

Amazing experience! It was my husband’s birthday and I booked the tour for him. Rob was our tour guide and he was amazing. We went to three Wineries and each of them very unique from the other one. I have learned so much about wine and the whole harvest process. It was extremely educational and fun at the same time! Rob took care of the wine we bought and made sure to hand it to us at the end of our trip! I would recommend this 100%

Very basic tour. Guide gave a little background on the region the first 30 minutes and then was pretty much radio silent for the rest of the trip. She played the music pretty loud on the way home which made it a little more difficult to converse. She pretty much turned into a bus driver after the very beginning of the trip. Tastings were average at best at the three wineries we stopped at. Our small group of 10 were lots of fun with good interaction throughout the day. Box lunch was good. As it was our first trip to Napa we expected to get a little more of the “Napa feel”from the experience. We stopped at the Castillo di Amorosa today and it was a night and day experience. Guide was very knowledgeable and engaging and provided a much more quality experience.

We weren’t sure how to visit wineries our first time to Napa. Kept going back and forth about trying to do it on our own or book a tour. On a whim we decided to book with Platypus and had such a great experience- we will only use them any time we go back. We learned so much- had special tours- special discounts- great company- and Chris was a great host, driver and educator!! Highly recommend.
