Small Group Yosemite and Giant Sequoias Day Trip from San Francisco

Overview
Take a day trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, described as the crown jewel of the country's many splendid national parks. You will be guided on a coach tour to highlights such as Bridalveil Falls, Tunnel View, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, with a stop for a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk into a grove of giant sequoias*.

We chose this company as the reviews were great, so glad we did the experience was amazing. Our wonderful guide Phil picked us up bang on time right outside our hotel. The long drive flew by as Phil shared his in-depth knowledge with us and any down time was filled listening to a carefully chosen play list. Yosemite is breathtaking, Phil took us to some amazing spots and the photographs we took will bring us joy for a lifetime. Although there had been heavy snowfall we managed to trek to the Giant Sequoia’s which was an unexpected bonus. Having such a knowledgeable guide paid off when we went to view El Capitan, Phil set up a couple of telescopes and pointed out the brave souls that were scaling the rock face. It would have been impossible to spot these guys without Phil’s eagle eye. It is a long day but so worthwhile. This company only takes small groups and I would definitely say that is very important if you want the personal touch. I can’t recommend this company highly enough. Malcolm and Suzanne

The good: Stephen our tour guide was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable on subjects all about Yosemite! He told us where the best places were to go when given free time. The could be better: The van doesn’t have much leg room, my friend is over 6 foot & luckily we were one of the first pick ups as we managed to get the back so he could stretch his legs down the middle. There was a mix up with the people on the tour which meant we had to wait for a while at a supermarket (it was handled very well and not Stephen’s fault). A heads up a few days before about the weather would be good, fortunately because we were near a Walmart we managed to buy some more layers! I would highly recommend, just be prepared for all sorts of weathers and take snacks for the long journey.

This was the longest and final tour day of our San Francisco stay. We were ready and layered up for what the day had to bring. Here's the breakdown... The Bad & Ugly: I'm not sure why folks think just because there's a Mercedes emblem on something means it great. There should have been some type of seating arrangement for the travelers on this tour.. Me my wife and another gentleman spent a total of 6 plus hours (to & from) with hip, back, knee and leg pain. We were the tallest out of everyone in the group and we couldn't wait to get to our destination to have some relief. I need you guys to invest in a vehicle with better support. At least the van was clean this time.. smh... The Good: A shout out to our tour guide Steven and fellow veteran for showing us an absolute fabulous time. His knowledge for "EVERYTHING" Yosemite is on point. He showed us a documentary on the brave folks that climbed Half-dome & El Capitan and what to expect when we get there. He got us there safe and sound on-time and we left on-time. He gave us pointers on where to take the great pictures and sites to see. This tour is a must if you visit the area. I just hope they do better with the transportation situation and realize that we all aren't petite.
