We had the best day from start to finish on this tour. Our guide went above and beyond to make our day special. We really felt like he loved his job and giving us the tour and we weren’t just another group. We watched documentaries on the way there and back which were really interesting and gave a lot of background information to the wall climbers that we would not have know prior. The tour bus was very comfortable and well equipped. We have just done a different tour in another state and it was not a patch on Best Bay Area Tours. I would not hesitate to book again another tour in the future or recommend to people. Thank you Brian for making this trip so special, one we will never forget!

We are locals and this is the best way to see Yosemite without the hassle. When we tried to visit Yosemite on our own 15 years ago, we were forced to exit the park shortly after entering because the park was overcrowded. It was so disappointing to drive all that way and not see much of Yosemite that I did not think we would return. I am so glad we found this tour as we finally experienced the Yosemite everyone raves about with our wonderful guide Brian. It is about a 3.5 hour drive and since we were passengers we could nap, appreciate the views, and enjoy the documentaries on Yosemite and climbers. I was surprised by how entertained I was by the climbing documentaries. We are also grateful Brian was the one driving on the winding mountain roads without guard rails. Although this tour starts really early, we arrived at the viewpoints before other tours. Brian timed our stops so we took pictures of the main sights when the sun was in the best position. He also knew how much time to allow at different spots throughout the park. I don't think we would have had time to see all these places on our own. It was relaxing to rely on an expert and entertaining guide. Brian provided recommendations for the best pictures and took pictures of us. He also set up telescopes to view climbers on El Capitan. Yosemite looks different throughout the year and some aspects of the park are not available all year. For example, walking through the giant Sequoias might be closed in winter but the waterfalls are spectacular in winter and dry up by late summer/fall. I would highly recommend this as the best way for locals or tourists to relax and enjoy Yosemite.

The groups tour guide Brian is super informative, funny and accommodating to all needs. He is overall very knowledgeable about the Yosemite history, especially the history of rock climbers! We did a pit stop at the halfway point to the park for snacks but I do recommend bringing your own along with water if you need before you reach the market to grab something. Brian was kind enough to allow me to charge my phone before we got to the park, I did bring my own wire. I went in February and the weather was absolutely fantastic, it only started to get really cold when the sun was setting but I do recommend wearing a thermal long sleeve and bringing a sweater to put over if necessary or jacket. The trails are mostly dirt so athletic shoes will be fine, if you plan on climbing up rocks wear proper shoes with grip. Most importantly, tip number one: savor every moment because it is a truly incredible and fun experience! You will love it, Brian answered everyone’s questions, explained the trails thoroughly and got us to each point of the park in good timing.
