Phil makes a day trip to Yosemite into something extraordinary- from the clever mix tapes in the van, to finding the very best spot to take that magical photo Phil explains it all. He’ll set up telescopes/binoculars so his party can search for rock climbers & wildlife & his knowledge of the park & its history is unparalleled. The tour is expertly managed to get the most from your day in the park, without any feeling of being herded from place to place like cattle & the early start means the group weren’t stuck queuing to get in to the park for hours, which happens with later start times. (Many tours start later). The small group size means lots of individual attention if needed & no waiting around for straggling party members! . Phil is cheerful & friendly & if you’re looking to maximise your experience of Yosemite with a stress free/hassle free day, this is a tour you won’t want to miss.

This tour was pretty good. Paul was very friendly and knowledgeable about the park. He got us there early to avoid the massive crowds, provided us with information about each of our stops, took pictures for us and provided us with water for our short hike. There are a few things I would recommend; because we left super early this did not provide us with many options for breakfast. I would suggest to pick another stop for breakfast. The grocery store we stopped at did not have much to choose from. This was a bit disheartening to our empty bellies. However, we were able to get sandwiches for our lunch which was nice. I also liked the stop @ the fruit stand on our way back to San Francisco. I would also suggest driving a little slower. There were a few moments that I was a bit anxious. The curves and turns on the mountain should not be taken lightly. Lastly, the air condition on the van was not the best. Paul did refunded us a portion of our money to offset our discomfort and said that van would no longer be used. A possible fix would be leaving the van on during the stops so the van stays cool on the hot days.
